New 7 Acre Acquisition!
Valhalla was able to negotiate with our neighbors for a very nice addition to our back forty. Check the 7 Acre Acquisition page to see shots of the new parcel and where it lies in relation to Jordan Creek.

Valhalla Oddities!
As would be the case, Valhalla has its oddities.  Currently we are noticing some Strange Sculptures done by the resident beavers. Don't miss the Valhalla Witch Project or the strange bent ladder.

Winery!
Four new wines bottled in 2008. Valhalla Winery is expanding! The fall of 2006 was notable for the first full harvest of our own White Riesling from grapes grown at Valhalla. The  vines are maturing nicely. See the wine page for more details.

Scout Camp!
Valhalla is still searching for  youth groups to come and visit Valhalla tree farm and enjoy its magic. Contact us if you know of a school, church or scout group that would like the use of our group camp and facilities.

New Lot!
Dave has completed the third stage of his getaway/retirement home atop Rocky Ridge. Construction began in the Spring of 2002.  Lots has happened since then and it is really looking like a COOL house. See more at the Valhalla New Lot page.

New Security Gate Page
We build a Security gate that's as cool as it gets over the Summer of 09  Complete with automatic lighting and TV Camera. Solar array keeps the thing running on 12 V Gel Cell Batteries.

Projects Page
Filled with many of the exciting past and ongoing Valhalla projects like the "barking dog" driveway minder, solar heated hot tub ands the spring fed water system. Not to mention clearing the creek debris with the new Komatsu Excavator

Steam Logging
New pictures of steam logging in the Northwest at the turn of the century. There are still many signs of the turn of the century logging that was done at Valhalla. There are the remains of greased log skid roads in two places, Rusty cables sticking out of the ground, stream crossings and log landings.  Several of the old B&W pictures could have been taken right here at Valhalla! Contact us for a guided tour of the remnants of steam logging days

Salmon BBQ
Be sure to check the Salmon BBQ pagePictures and graphics show the nuts and bolts of Northwest Indian techniques that blend the alder fire and rock-lined pit with modernity's such as chicken wire and paper mache' masks.

Norwegian Hytte'
In 2006, Earl and granddaughter Jill began work on a Norwegian Hytte at the rear of the property. It is a 12x12 cabin perched on a small hill overlooking Jordan Creek.
